WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHOTOSHOOT EXPERIENCE
Simple
Your photoshoot is time for you and your horse to enjoy together. Whether the shoot involves riding, leading, or standing, know that we will always work within you and your horse's comfort zone to photograph your connection in a genuine and real way.
Relaxed
No awkward posing or sore cheeks from forcing a smile for the whole shoot. All photoshoots have a laidback atmosphere with options and decisions being made throughout the session by the photographer and client together.
Accommodating
I understand that working with animals can be difficult so all sessions accommodate for time to take a break when needed. That includes changing locations, having a debrief to discuss a particular vision or having a much-needed treat (for horse and human!)
Some Questions You Might Have.
Do you only photograph horses?
A. No, I am open to photographing other occasions and subjects upon request. Please contact me for more information.
Can you take pictures of just my horse?
A. Yes for sure! Photos of your horse at liberty are also welcome with appropriate planning. Reins, bridles, hands, and treats can be edited and removed from photos as necessary.
Only one horse and one person per session?
A. Unless stated otherwise in a particular photoshoot package, I am open to any number of 'models' in a shoot. However, please note that more horses may mean more time spent organizing them for pictures.
What should I wear?
A. For blackbox portrait sessions (if you wish to be photographed with your horse), I highly suggest you choose a clean and 'simple' outfit. Busy prints and large graphics can take away from the effect. All other shoots are up to your own preferences. But you can never go wrong with classy riding attire!
Do you retouch photos?
A. Yes and no.
I do: Edit the colours, tones, lighting, and softness of my photos to achieve desired effects. I may also remove objects or distractions from an image's background.
I will not: Dramatically alter or "facetune" any photos.
How do I get my photos?
A. All photos will be accessible digitally through an online gallery or USB drive (your choice).
How many photos will I recieve?
A. This will vary between packages and shoots. All information is available on the pricing & packages page.
Whats your turn around time?
A. A 2-3 week turn around for edited photos can be expected. I will let you know whenever it will be longer than this.
